Visual aids are a great tool for every teacher especially those teaching young kids. Pictures and flashcards for games, computers and projectors for songs to dance to and video camera to show students there progress to themselves. Visual aids need to be used in order to enhance the lesson and used efficiently otherwise a video which is too long can take time and break up pacing. Videos that lead to discussion or a song that teaches a new grammar structure which later can be built upon in the study and activate sections can be a great tool for teachers. The visual aids should help and not hinder and the teacher should always have a back up plan in case it doesn't work.
