This topic talks about the receptive skills that students need to learn in order to fully understand English.I learned that the four basic skills in learning language are divided into two : RECEPTIVE which deals with reading and listening, and PRODUCTIVE that talks about speaking and writing; but this doesn't mean one skill should be considered most important over the other, there should be a balanced approach to completely gain the benefit of learning. There are also reasons why we read and learn, having a purpose or just for entertainment, but sometimes you do it for having both reasons. Different skills in reading and listening are also discussed as well as the problems comes with it that the teachers needed to be aware of.
