This unit goes over the different tools that the teacher may have access to to aid their lesson in the classroom. Each item comes with a list of advantages and disadvantages, but all may be useful with the right training and preparation. I learned that teachers may still prefer using outdated machines, such as cassette recorders and overhead projectors, because they provide benefits that newer technology cannot. For example, an overhead projector is capable of having sheets layered to show students developing patterns. It is important to know how to use newer technology beforehand and ensure that the entire lesson is not used through a computer, as this can lead to an uncommunicative class.
