This unit gives a very concise overview of the roles of both the teacher and the student. It sets a good expectation of different expectations and scenarios that could and would happen in the classroom. From a teacher standpoint, I have learned about the various roles that I will have to undertake to conduct a successful lesson, which would involve a mix of any number of roles at one time to organize a successful lesson. For example, partaking on a participant level to facilitate the learning process and then stepping back to manage the class and to monitor the progress and the students' learning processes. This unit also helped me to understand that there will be various factors that will influence how a student reacts in class (ie. age, experience, willingness to learn and interact etc).
