This unit explained phonemic symbols and how to use them. We also learned about stressing words and syllables. Stress on a certain word can change the focus of the sentence and help convey meaning faster. In addition, we covered how different sounds are made in the mouth. I have a new baby at home and he's just starting to watch my mouth when I talk so he can try to imitate the sounds and words. Learning more about phonemic symbols and annunciation is exciting for me and I cant wait to try talking to him tomorrow.
