This unit covered the grammatical topics including modal verbs, the passive voice, and phrasal verbs. Each modal verb came with a list of usages that present its degree of formality, certainty, politeness, etc. The unit gave many examples on how to differentiate the passive from the active voice, and highlighted the fact that the passive voice puts less stress on the agent but still talks about the subject. Relative clauses and phrasal verbs are also discussed in the unit. It is important that these be practiced many times because they are difficult. These two subjects have different variations that distinguish themselves from another. Relative clauses can either be defining or non-defining and phrasal verbs have 3 main types that are distinguished by the ability to place the object phrase or object pronoun.
