This is a short and brief unit about teaching receptive skills. I believe all the skills are used daily in our life. I especially appreciate the "Problems section" highlighted in this unit, such as "Careful selection of texts", "Topics", and "Create interests", as sometimes we only focus on teaching the students grammars and vocabulary, and it's easy to ignore if the students are interested in the topics of the text or not. Also, the outline of a typical receptive skills lesson gives us an insight of the details of the class procedure. This helps me to re-think about how to organize my class more professionally and efficiently. Thank you.
