I appreciated the nice balance that was created by this chapter in using the authentic materials, created materials, and the supplementary materials with a course book. I think it's good to be given 'permission' to use supplementary materials when teaching. I do believe that there is a balance to be created when using all these suggestions. The most important thing is to fill the students needs as individuals and as a class.
