I thought this lesson what extremely helpful in giving reminders about how to deal with students of varying levels in the same class. I had this situation happen when I was teaching in a classroom in Istanbul. Thorough and detailed placement tests usually solve these problems. I appreciate the approach of ITTT to teaching. Very comprehensive and great suggestions! Also, I will try to employ the 'ESA' method in my teaching.
