After reading unit 7, I learned some important things on how to teach vocabulary, grammar structure, and function. One thing I learned was how to select the correct vocabulary to teach; for example, it's a good idea to teach vocabulary that students are likely to use in their day-to-day lives and is also teachable and easy to understand. I also learned about ways to apply the new language points with the ESA methodology. For example, crosswords and word searches are good activities to teach vocabulary in the study phase, and communication games are a great way to reinforce grammatical structure knowledge in the activate phase. I also liked all of the ESA lesson examples for each language point.
