Books to use in teaching is an issue that needs attention. In this unit, advantages and disadvantages were presented which will help teachers to weigh which materials to use in teaching. Teachers must not rely on the books of the course. Teachers are called to be creative and resourceful to supplement the teaching materials at hand. Materials created by teachers are more interesting, more relevant and afresh apt to the needs of the students. These created materials is preferred than relying on the course books which are written for general audience. Teachers know their students better and so they cater to their needs by augmenting materials needed in the lessons.
