Earlville, Illinois TESOL Online & Teaching English Jobs
To be honest, I love this unit, not only because there are a lot of useful tips and clues offered by this unit regarding modals, passive voice, and phrasal verbs, but also because phrasal verbs and modals are challenging to learn and use. It's been long since I learned modals. However, which modal should be used in different situations regarding obligation, permission, ability, etc. confuses me. Thanks for this insightful unit, which offers detailed definitions, comparisons, and teaching ideas, help to clear out a lot of weeds in it. Also, regarding phrasal verbs, although I've noticed some verbs are used along with prepositions, I've never come up with the idea of phrasal verbs. This unit suddenly opens my eye on the usage of the same verb combined with different prepositions showing different meanings, such as "put" and "get". I've also realized that how interesting it is to discover the meanings of phrasal verbs, as sometimes even though all the words in a sentence are understood, the meaning of the entire sentence remains ambiguous. So from now on, I will invest some extra time on phrasal verbs and I'm sure it will enrich my oral English. Thank you.
