I found this unit rather difficult; before this unit I have never read into topics of pronunciation or phonology. I also often found myself butchering sentences whenever I would say them with intonation in mind, but with that being said, I have learned a lot from this unit. Prior to this unit I didn’t know that there was a phonemic alphabet and that it is a universal alphabet. I also was unaware of the types of consonant sounds that were produced from our mouths or that there are terms for them. This unit will provide me an excellent reference in the future and I look forward to learning more about pronunciation and phonology.
