Personally, i prefer to use the course book and supplement additional materials. Materials can be authentic and created, authentic materials are taken from real life and help the students learn about life in foreign countries. Created materials are used in lessons to aid the teacher to present new material and have the students practice it. I likes the ideas in the unit about using and creating the materials. A teacher can use crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, role-play cards, flashcards, gap fill activities, picture stories. I use all of these in my classes.
