This unit has been very useful. Using the information given on auxiliary verbs, I have produced a hand out for my students, which has the usage of each auxiliary verb in Japanese as well as English. Prior to this unit, I had very limited knowledge on all the topics covered in this unit and now that I can put a name to the grammar point and clearly define them, I feel confident in teaching these subjects. In my Japanese Junior High school, relative pronouns and modals are the main focuses in the 2nd year of English. Phrasal verbs and passive voice are still very new to me and I will use this unit as a reference for teaching but the information from this unit has also enhanced my Japanese language learning, by clearly defining modals, clauses and relative pronouns, I can grasp Japanese grammar concepts easier.
