In this lesson I learned about how to structure a lesson plan and the benefits of having one. Understanding what you want students to achieve and how to make that possible is one of the first steps to ensure a well planned lesson. A structure of the lesson allows you to keep track and record what was presented that day. A well structured lesson plan includes details such as activity length, potential problems, number of students, and class level to name a few. Throughout the lesson taking time to evaluate how the information was presented to the class is also important to identify strength and weaknesses. A lesson plan should also be flexible, have goals identified, revisions and variety/balance. This lesson has helped me understand and identify what makes a lesson plan effective.
