In this unit I learned about the past tenses. First the past simple tense, which has regular and irregular verbs that often end (d) or (ed). These can be used for past actions. Next past continuous includes was/were and a ing ending. These are mostly used for interrupted actions and actions that were started in the past but continued. Past perfect tense includes had or had not. These are typically used when actions that occurred before other actions in the past. Lastly, past perfect continuous includes had with a verb ending in ing. These are used for past actions that continuing up to the past moment referenced.
