This unit mainly tackles what are the main lessons that should be introduced to the students to learn a new language and what are the teaching ideas that could be done in each lesson. In teaching a new language, the first thing that should be introduced to the students is the vocabulary, the more vocabulary that the students know the better they are able to comprehend. Vocabulary is important because it improves that ability of the students to communicate and write. In teaching vocabulary, the teacher should know what is the level or teachability of the vocabulary that he/she will teach to the students because there are different level of students, for example; the beginner, elementary level, advance level etc.. The vocabulary should be also appropriate to the task and the students. The meaning, usage, pronunciation, and spelling are important in teaching new vocabularies. Next to vocabulary is the grammatical structure, it is also important when teaching a new language to help the students understand the sentences or paragraph clearly. The meaning, usage, forms and patterns, and spoken/written form should be discussed in order for them to know the proper way to construct sentences. Third is the language functions, it helps the students learn how to appropriately speak in different situations whether it is formal, informal, technical, tentative etc.
