This unit encompasses with the leading points considering evaluation and testing of learner's English level's abilities and knowledge.
To my view, the different processes (procedures) to assess learner's knowledge and capacities of using English language seem to be targeted especially on the common four skills, comprising in one side, reading and listening (receptive skills), and on the other side, speaking and writing (productive skills).
Even so, could it be possible to include as a part in the process of evaluating, the capacities relative to learner's motivation, commitment, affect, self-reliance, mutual aid,...and/or knowledge pertaining to "English Culture and Social features" (United-Kingdom, United States of America, Australia,...)? That might be a great deal of taking the English language as an overall part of itself and perhaps contributing positively to enhance learner's language acquisition by absorbing some components of its inherent foundation (Culture and social characteristics). In the other point of this questioning, motivation, determination, sensibility, assistance between learners,...are undeniably inner parts of learner's resources. They have direct impact and influence on the way that they learn things around them. Consequently, as previously quoted; would it be relevant and substantial (in content's lessons) to integrate such elements basically into lesson's preparation and afterwards aiming to evaluation?
