I learned a lot from this unit, but the most interesting thing I learned was about the idea of a '3 by 3' drill. I now know that this means say the word or phrase and ask the whole group to repeat. This gives a safe environment for students to practice pronunciation, as any mistakes made by an individual will not be apparent to the group. Then, I would do this three time, then follow up by calling on three individuals by name, in turn, to say the word or phrase.
