This unit explains 8 major part of speech. Noun, article, verb, adverb, adjective, pronoun, conjunction/ preposition, and gerund. there are 5 types of noun: common, proper, compound, abstract and collective. also they teach us about plural forms of noun. adjectives describes noun such as people and things. Articles are classified in 2 Definite and Indefinite. Also it explains brief about zero article. further it gives information of the verb which is doing word. it can be either transitive or intransitive. transitive verb is always followed by an object whereas intransitive verb never follows the object directly. verb has four principal forms, base form, past simple, past participle and present participle. Adverbs add meaning to the action. there are five types Time, Place, Manner, degree and frequency. gerund is a -ing form of a verb. There are 4 types of Pronoun. Personal, Possessive, Reflexive and Relative. Preposition shows relation between noun and pronoun. Conjunctions join words in a sentence.
