This unit proved to be difficult only in that it referred pretty specifically to the examples given in the unit text, it seemed less to do with the overall themes, I had a hard time remembering the order of the specific examples given in the unit. I do believe that having a lesson plan is very important, especially for a new teacher. My best classroom experiences involved teachers who were flexible in their lesson plans and allowed the students to spend more time on an activity if it was evident that the students were engaged and really addressing the subject, however that was more common with experienced teachers, younger teachers tended to be more rigid in following a schedule, this makes sense when as a teacher you are still learning yourself.
