Present tenses include four (4) different tenses, the present simple, the present continuous, the present perfect and the present perfect continuous. Each present tense is unique in that it has its own unique rules. For example, regarding the "present continuous" in its "Regular Form" the verb "be" is classed as a special verb, therefore, it has to be changed a little. A couple of the changes are: (You are), ( We are)etc. Regarding the "Contracted Form" (You are becomes You're) and (We are becomes We're). I have also found the "Usages" of all these four different tenses very interesting, especially when I have understood the timing of the action or situations to describe events etc. This makes learning easier and the rules stick in my mind much more quickly. I also found that illustrations, pictures and games, graphs etc are a great help, as teaching is very important at a visual level as well as a vocal level.
