In this lesson, I learned what are the strategies, dos, and donts in managing students within a class and what takes place within the class. As a teacher, you can use your eyes, gesture, and voice in a classroom management. You can use your eyes to keep attention, check the class and give encouragement to the student, change your voice according to the situation, speak slowly and clearly to make the students understand the lesson, and use your gesture to convey meaning, add visual interest, reduce teacher time etc.. For class activities you can group your students as a whole, pair work, group work or even individually, you can also arrange the position of the students in the classroom while doing an activity like for example orderly row, circles and horseshoes, or separate tables. You can choose any of these but make sure that it is suitable for the activity and the number of the class. There are also issues in classroom management, like writing on the board, giving individual attention, teacher talk time, giving instructions, rapport building and discipline the students within the classroom.
