This unit discussed the importance of teaching aids in the English Language Learning Classroom. There are many different tools that a teacher can use in different parts of the lesson. To transfer knowledge to students, a teacher should certainly have a well-organized board. Some characteristics of a well-organized board are clear writing, only appropriate capitalization, columns, correct writing utensils, and targeted writing.
Other useful tools are recording equipment for self-evaluation and correction, DVD's to incorporate other native speakers into the lesson and illicit conversations, Smartboards for interactive learning.
Dictionaries are extremely important to help students define words and learn to pronounce them as well.
