This unit looks at the advantages and disadvantages of using course material to assist with the teaching of English as a second language. For example when teaching Asian refugee children about counties with snow, where several were being sent to, I got them all to tear up paper into small pieces and loaded up the ceiling fan blades. (Stationary at the time). then explained that we would see the similarity to a snow storm for a few seconds, when we turned the fans on! It delighted the class and gave them an idea of what it would be like!!
