I found this unit to be the most difficult up to now. I spent more time trying to understand the importance of intonation and stress. All of this comes natural but trying to teach it is more difficult. Because I'm presently learning Spanish, I know how important it is to have the stress on the right syllable… if the stress isn't on the right syllable, they don't understand me. The phonetic chart has been very helpful with my students. They are enjoying this new approach to learning.
