Unit 5: Managing Classes
Classroom management creates a set of expectations used in an organised classroom environment. It includes routines, rules and consequences. Effective classroom management allows the teacher to be effective in the engagement of the students' learning. A disorganised classroom without routines and expectations makes it difficult for the teacher to do their job properly. Therefore, I believe that classroom management strategies help create an organised classroom environment that's conducive to learning. Additionally, a teacher with strong classroom management skills will create consistency for their students. However, the age of the students are also vital in this process, as the main goal of classroom management is to reduce misbehaviour in the classroom and allow for more productive work.
