This unit is based upon the various groups of people that I could encounter whilst on my English teaching career. It starts off with explaining beginner groups and what they need followed by individual private sessions that a teacher could engage in. Then we move onto children and what would be the best way of teaching them which is a lot different to adults, such as keeping them entertained and focused so they learn something from the lesson rather then the traditional methods. Finally we have the business group which can be either individual lessons or a group. The big problem with business people is that they will most likely be tired after a day of work so trying to setup a programme tailored for them is possible but more of a challenge. The Needs Analysis sheet helps the teacher in this process of teaching business clients by finding out their strengths and weaknesses, how much English they need, etc, etc. A very informative unit that has helped to expand my horizons on potential future clientale.
