This unit focus on the characteristics of teachers and learners. It explains the qualities of good teachers and learners, the different roles that the teacher must perform in the class, and the types of students according to their level, age, motivation, learning experience, behavior problems and other characteristics.
By reading this unit, I became more aware of how each role of the teacher may affect the behavior of the students in the classroom and their learning process. Additionally, I found out that the ability to keep students motivated is one of the most important qualities of a teacher because once the teacher is able to have his students fully engaged in the activities, the learning will be maximized.
