Unit 5 gave more reason to how a teacher maintains control over the classroom, from setting up seating arrangements at the beginning of class to building up rapport between the students themselves and the teacher-student relationships. Pros and Cons were outlined according to seating regarding STT (student talk time,) self reliance, potential disciplinary issues and class sizes. Teacher presentation and consistency is key to controlling the class and building this rapport. Responsiveness to misbehaviour is also important and can be done correctly by staying cool headed and addressing the behaviour, not the student.
