In this unit I have learned that the teacher needs to be friendly and be able to have a laugh with the students. The teacher must get to know all the names of the students so that all of the students can participate in the lesson and also feel comfortable with the teacher. The teacher must be engaging in voice, action and visual aids so that the students are motivated to learn and participate. I have also learnt that it is very good to commend the student/s when they have done well, and not to get angry and highlight their mistakes. The students need to feel comfortable and confident to learn the English Language, that's why it is very important to first build a rapport with your students.
