I have learned two receptive skills in this unit-reading and listening, which are equally important. How can we teach students reading and listening skills effectively? There are some specialist skills listed in this unit, for example, predictive skills, specific information-scanning, skimming, detailed information and deduction from context. I am also trying to employing these in my class. Besides, there are some problems with listening and reading.T herefore, when we are teaching, we need carefully select texts or tasks as well as creating interests.
