In this lesson I have learnt the advantages and disadvantages of using course books and materials. Depending on the level and nationality of the students, each lesson needs to be planned to meet the needs of the students, sometimes course books will not provide all relevant material needed for teaching that particular lesson. It is good to have an imagination and to be creative so as to omit, supplement or replace certain options in the course book with the teachers own ideas. As the teacher learns more about her/his students, then the lessons will become easier, but as for a beginner teacher, course books and the activities inside can be very helpful.
