Broxton, Georgia TESOL Online & Teaching English Jobs
The future tenses are probably the most difficult for the students. The reason is because there are so many different forms and the usages are sometimes similar. The unit 8 explains about the structure, the usages, the typical mistakes and teaching ideas for the following forms: future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, ‘going to’ future, present simple (with a future meaning), and present continuous (with a future meaning). Sometimes more than one form can be used for what the student want to say but with different emphasis. For example: 'I am going to get a new job' vs 'I am getting a new job'. So the teacher should those differences clear by comparing similar tenses.
