Productive skills are those skills in which we have to produce language, those skills are writing and speaking. Students, who possess efficient productive skills are able to produce a speech or a written text. There are controlled (accuracy based), creative (fluency based) and guided (the mixture of both) speaking activities to develop speaking skills. Accuracy based activities are suitable for the Study phase and fluency based are best for Activate phase. Teachers must encourage students interaction by incorporating a lot of pair work, group work, giving students time to prepare and planning the topics that will arouse students’ interest. To improve writing skills, students should work on their handwriting, learn spelling and punctuation and be exposed to the variety of different layouts of writing and styles.
