This unit illustrates future tenses ,forms & usages
Future simple is used to talk about future facts,spontaneous actions ,predictions without evidence,assumptions,threats & promises etc
We can use shall with I /they in formal sentence while will is used to express determination
Form:subject+will+verb
E.g. I will work tomorrow.
Future perfect structure is used to talk about actions that will be completed at a certain time in future oftentimes with adverbial expression ‘By’
Form-subject+will have+past participle
E.g. By January, committee will have completed the investigation.
Future continuous is used to talk about progressive actions at a particular time in future
Form-subject+will +aux verb.(to be)+present participle
E.g. I’ll be teaching tomorrow afternoon
Future perfect continuous shows duration of an action up until a certain time in future .
Form-subject+will+have been+ present participle
E.g. She’ll have been teaching for five years by the end of this year.
We also use going to future to talk about planned future activities
Form-subject+going+ infinitive
E.g. I’m not going to play football on Sunday
Present simple & present continuous are also used to talk about future events.
E.g.-Meeting starts at 9 in the evening.
I’m staying at home tomorrow.
