Speaking & writing are productive skills.Speaking activities include role play,debates,mill drill etc.are oftenly creative and hence focusing more fluency of
language.Whereas,writing activities such as worksheets,letters,comprehension etc. require more accuracy than fluency.Controlled activity is used in study phase.However,both are used for communicative purpose but it could be very challenging for a teacher to achieve a predicted goal & elicit target language
without creating need among the students to speak &communicate.
As both accuracy & fluency are equally important skills elucidating language point & pre teaching useful vocabulary is vitally important & will determine & enhance fluency of the language during activate stage .To improve writing skills teacher should scrutinise various elements such as spelling,punctuation,handwriting & layout & can also put in some extra effort for weaker students.
