Pronunciation is the most neglected area of teaching the English language. In English, a single word can mean different things depending on how you use your tone and inflection. English uses inotation and stress to help with understanding words and sentences. Different parts of speech and syllables help to determine what part to stress in the word. When stressing a word there are 2 main rules to follow, one word has one stress and you only stress an individual word, not sentence. When speaking different consonant, the tongue touches a different part of the mouth. There are also voiced and unvoiced consonants where voiced sounds are created by a vibration from your vocal chords.
