First lesson
In each new teaching position a teacher will be face with meeting a number of new classes for the first time.These classes are vital for the teacher to establish rapport with the students and set the tone for the rest of the course.Such classes can fall into two categories:

They are usually short,fun,communicative activities designed to get students motivated and using English.

There are a number of ways that teacher can deal with this:
use different materials
-same material,different tasks
-don't do anything
-pair stronger students with weaker ones
Large classes
The teacher can employ a number of techniques to create successful classes:
-use worksheets
-pair/group work
-clarity
-choral repetition
-appoint group leaders
-dynamics
Use of native language
This is usual not''malicious''but more a case of wanting to communicate something that they feel unable to express in English or wanting to explain something to help another student.
Reluctant students
Some useful ideas for reluctant students:
-use plenty of pair work
-used controlled practice
=use role-play
-use a tape recorder
Difficulties with listening texts
First of all,make sure it is a problem with listening skills and not just the poor quality of the tape,or the volume being too low,etc.
