In this unit I learned that there are two receptive skills: reading and listening, and that they are both equally important. I learned that students may find reading less challenging than listening because the information is captured, which allows them to reread and deduce the information from context, which may allow them to understand the information quicker than they would listening to it. I learned the different problems that may arise, and how to keep students interested and motivated with appropriate topics and texts/dialogue.
