At any given level, students learning a new language need to be exposed to the language itself, understand its meaning, how its constructed and how to practice the language in their daily lives. This unit explains how we incorporate grammar,vocabularly and language functions in a lesson. The selection criteria for vocabulary is explained, what students need to know about a vocabulary item and the techniques used to ensure students absorb the vocabulary been taught. The same will apply for grammatical structures and language functions although different types of teaching techniques will be used. For example an ESA boomerang type lesson would best suit teaching of language functions.
