The topic of this unit is Lesson Planning. We learn about its functions such as it being an aid, a working document, helping the teacher keep a record of where the course stands, and how it needs to be written down in order for it to be kept simple and clear. Although the lesson plan provides the teacher with a certain structure which will help him/her teach the class, it must remain flexible and can be subject to change if the students need more time to work on a certain language point or have trouble understanding a certain topic.
I have learned a lot throughout the study of this unit, notably all the points that should be included in a lesson plan and how useful it is in order to properly teach a class and keep track of the course and the progress of the students. It will definitely be extremely useful in my future teaching career.
