In this unit I learnt how important that it was for a teacher to write out a proper lesson plan. The advantages of doing a lesson plan to not doing one are way higher. I learnt that a good lesson plan can help the teacher to keep track of the lesson, if the lesson plan is written on a piece of paper that can be reffered to at any point of the lesson. It can also be used to keep an acurate record of what the class has done. A good lesson plan should include some of the following. The teacher needs to have a goal, so learner objectives of what the teacher expects to teach the students by the end of the lesson. The teacher should always be looking for ways to improve their teaching style to best benniffit the students. Teaching aids and materials are also very useful and can make the lesson much more engaging for the sudents. The teacher also needs to know at what level the students are at with there English, its pointless having students at all different levels of English, no one is going to bennift from having a mix of English levels. The lesson plan is also useful to show at which point in the class will be the teacher interaction, e.g when the students will interact with each other or with each othe.
