The unit demonstrates the most efficient way for new teachers to think about planning lessons for their classes and how best to approach the planning process, which can depend on a number of factors. The factors can include, but are not limited to, the objective of the class - what you want the students to know / be able to do by the end of the class - and the personal aims of the teachers regarding how he or she would like the class to advance, the key language areas that will be covered in class, any particular problems that could be envisaged and how to potentially deal with them, and organisation and timing of the lesson, without being too rigid. The unit then ends with some example lesson plans.
