In unit 12 we learned more in depth about teaching speaking and writing skills. We learned when selecting a method or mode, such as a game, for teaching new language, that some methods will lend themselves more to accuracy or fluency/creativity. Also, the method of eliciting and correcting should be adapted to either accuracy or fluency. This means that using information gaps and free-speaking activities would not require much focus on correction, or correcting in real time, because using hand-gestures and verbal indications towards the language would be more effective at eliciting the language and motivating the student.
