This unit was about receptive skills and what the most right wat to teach them. So there are 4 basic skills in language: reading and listening these are receptive skills and of course speaking and writing which are productive skills. Each one of them are important. Receptive skills divide on two categories, as for a purpose and for entertainment, but sometimes it may be a mix of two. so the key to succesful receptive skill lesson is when a teacher chooses material that interests the students, pre-teach a difficult vocabluary before the student start reading the text or listening the audio, it is necessary to use different type of material once in a while. And of course use materials to pratise different skills.
