In unit 11 we learned about teaching and receptive skills, such as reading and listening, speaking and writing, and minor parts of each. Such as reading alone contains smaller skills such as skimming, scanning, predictive and detailed skills. In this particular lesson we learned to create a lesson plain using ESA plans surrounding an interview with a famous person, or music from a famous musician, so that language and reading and listening skills can be advanced by first engaging the students by eliciting participation, eg; "Who is Tom Cruise", then perhaps pre-teaching difficult vocabulary that may arise from every-day, difficult language, playing the interview aloud for students, then having them ask and answer questions in pairs, then to activate, have students create their own biographies, read them aloud, and guess who the biography is about.
