This unit is about teaching receptive skills that is reading and listening.In this unit i learnt reasons and motives for teaching reading and listening can be for purpose or for entertainment.Further readers and listeners use different employ different specialist skills when reading or listening but their understanding of the context will depend on : predictive skills, specific information-scanning,general ideas-skimming,detailed information, and deduction from context.Also I understood and took into consideration some solutions of the problems that arise when teaching reading and listening( Pre-teaching vocabulary,careful selection of texs) .Finally , I learnt that a good topic,tasks and creating interest when teaching receptive skills can motivate students.
