I found this unit to be a bit daunting. While I constantly asses my current students on progress and retention in order to guide instruction, the idea of having to create a formal assessment is outside of my skill set. I appreciated this unit as I plan on looking for a position as an English teacher upon completion of this course. This unit while definitely guide my comfort in accepting a position that doesn't provide a curriculum and evaluation protocol.
